So the other day I was looking something up in the dictionary…

…and I noticed that the definition of hazelnut just said “FILBERT.” So I looked up filbert, and sure enough, it’s another name for a hazelnut.

And then it hit me.

THAT IS WHY THERE IS A SQUIRREL IN ANIMAL CROSSING NAMED FILBERT GUYS GUYS GUYS MY UNIVERSE MAKES SENSE.
